Pratik Tirodkar 23-year old Coro-bot creator
First IOT embedded internet-controlled robot. Thane (Mumbai, Maharashtra) based Startup “PNT Solution” run by Pratik Tirodkar (Instrumentation Engineer). This startup created an IOT based robot named “Coro-Bot”. Coro-bot is the first internet-controlled robot. It was created and developed during the whole world is suffering from the pandemic situation.
“This Coro-Bot helps nurses and hospital staff during pandemic situations because of its features which eliminate the need for physical presence or contact of nurses or ward boys with the covid patients. This Coro-bot can carry food, water, Medicines. Also, it interacts with the patients through a camera and speakers, through a Speaker it can also advise the patients on various precautions like to ensure that patient must sanitize their hands before picking anything from the Coro-bot trays.”- Says Pratik Tirodkar to ANI.
Specification of Coro-bot:-
Most importantly, This startup created a special application to operate and monitor Coro-bot from any location worldwide using IoT technology. This is the first technique is being developed and deployed in the medical field – He said. Coro-bot comes with 3 trays on each side with a carrying capacity of 10-15 kg each, plus 30 kg storing capacity at the bottom. Cora-Bot can serve the supplies to over a dozen patients at a time in a covid-19 ward.
Pratik Tirodkar explained there are separate dispensers for water, coffee, Tea besides a sensor for sanitizer liquid which flows out quickly when the patients hold their hands below it and cut off the supply when hands are removed so that wastage is reduced. It is also capable to use at night because of it’s LED lights. Not only the Covid patients, but Cora-bot can also take care of itself. It has three nozzles at the back to give itself a disinfectant bath regularly. It goes on spraying sanitizers on both sides of the path, plus disinfects the ground it moves on by using UV lights.
The cost of Coro-bot varies between 1.60 – 3.80 lakh depends on the various specification like load carrying capacity etc. I have a small manufacturing unit at Dombivali, but if I get a good investor then, I can get into mass production. “He said”.
