Surat based drone startup insideFPV has raised a seed funding round of Rs.25 lakhs from the D Labs at Indian School of Business (ISB) under startup India seed fund scheme at the age of 19 According to the official statement, the company will utilize these funds to manufacture it’s drone prototype in the sector of defense and security purpose by scaling it’s business.
“insideFPV is very happy to have D labs on-board. This was a very special funding round for us as D Labs has become our first investor. We are looking forward to raise many such funding rounds and up-scaling the business. These funds will be utilized by us to manufacture our drone prototype for defence and security purpose. Thanks to the Government of India for liberalizing the drone rules and coming up with the PLI scheme. We want to make the world a better and safe place,” Arth Chowdhary, Founder and CEO of insideFPV, said in a statement.
Founded in 2020 during covid by VIT students (Vellore Institute of Technology) Arth Chowdhary (age 21), Deyvant Bhardwaj (age 21) and Oshi Kumari (age 19), insideFPV is the first company in India to provide ready to fly customized FPV drones for the purpose of cinematography, videography, FPV racing and commercial shooting.
The founders raised the seed funding round at the age of 19 becoming one of the youngest entrepreneurs raising an investment in India. Early in February, these founders raised a funding of Rs.10 lakhs through the Nidhi Prayas Grant from VIT-TBI. insideFPV aims to use drones to help build the nation and help India to compete with other empowering nations in Defence and Security by promoting Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Story of InsideFPV
We were working in different teams and eventually our fun talks remained as usual that became the bond between us irrespective of our teams. We used to build drones for the customers individually but it so happened though we had been planning to start a company and COVID gave us the right time to pin-in our startup. So we brought our customers together as well our fpv services at one place naming insideFPV with our initial investment of 5k, which became India’s First Company to provide Ready to Fly FPV Drones.
Upcoming plans of InsideFPV
Firstly our primary focus is on building the best category of Plug and Fly FPV Drones for direct consumer as for commercial purpose. We’re looking forward to becoming the global brand for Fpv drones. Secondly we’re much focused on developing a defense based product which will be the most incredible UAV system in the world with more reliability and situational awareness.
