Robot successfully manages stage during KIIT event in Bhubaneswar

In a first, a robot successfully executed the task of stage management during a grand even of the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) held on Wednesday in the capital city of Odisha. It has got laurels to the state.

As per reports, developed by Sol Ltd for KIIT University, the robot has been named as Asha. During the recent Foundation Day celebration of the University on February 16 the robot was for the first time engaged on experiment basis and it successfully executed the tasks.

The robot was seen inviting the guests to the stage while it was also thanking after their speeches. Besides, the robot Asha is also capable of doing certain other tasks.

It has been learnt that next week another robot named Amar will be put into work on experiment basis. Amar will assist in administrative matters.

Success of the robot has proved the high quality of KIIT, its education and research. On this occasion founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta congratulated the team that developed the robot.
