Odisha Boy Created Robotics arm for Divyang Girl
Odisha Boy Created Robotics arm for Divyang Girl. Class 10 student from Odisha has proved exactly that. Showing an exemplary act on how real talent shines early on, the boy has designed a robotics hand with the help of a high-tech 3D printer and gifted it to a divyang girl.
As per sources, Saswat Mishra, the class 10 student from DAV School, Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar has gifted the robotics hand to a little amputee girl named Kiran Behera.
Odisha Boy’s Robotics Innovation Gives A New Lease Of Life To Divyang Girl
Saswat said that he has made painstaking efforts and even spent Rs 50 to 60 thousand rupees in assembling a 3D printer machine. He had to study biomechanical features of a human hand and then using special modeling techniques, he created a hand model by integrating pin and ball joints and made ready to use by cables and motors.
Interestingly, this is not the first time the little genius has mesmerised everyone with his knack for innovation. He was earlier felicitated as a junior scientist by the IIIT, Bhubaneswar, for designing a drone all by himself.
On his big-hearted act of compassion, Saswat says that he will come up with many such machine-run limbs for differently-abled people if he receives financial backing.
“What most inspires me to make new innovation is the lofty prices of new tech in the market. One day, I realized what If I can make something to alleviate the pain of Divyangs who suffer due to loss of their limbs. This idea helped me to make a functional prosthetic hand,” said Saswat.
An elated Saswat further said, “I thought if such a robotics hand can really function well enough to allow the wearer to at least do some daily chores, it would bring a new lease of life to them.”
On the prospect of his bright future, the junior scientist said he aims to help people with new innovations in science and technology.
“Innovating is one thing but it needs a lot of expenditure which I don’t have enough. If I can get some aid or financial assistance from any organisation or government, I hope I can make a real difference,” expressed the class 10 boy.
