Doordarshan to broadcast the DD-Robocon 2022 event from Delhi
Doordarshan will be broadcasting the DD-Robocon 2022 final held on July 16-17 at Thyagraj Stadium, New Delhi. The two-day event will be held physically at Delhi NCR using the online game rules. Interested folks can watch the telecast on DD Sports on July 16, 9:30 am onwards. The event will also be available on the youtube channel of DD National.

Doordarshan Robocon India 2022 (DD Robocon) is a national competition organized by IIT Delhi for the Asian-Oceanian college robot competition, organized internationally by Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. In the competition, robots compete to complete a task within a set period of time. The contest aims to create friendships among young people with similar interests who will lead their countries in the 21st century, as well as help advance engineering and broadcasting technologies in the region. DD-Robocon provides a foundation for young robotics and creates an innovative cycle in the country.
The theme of DD-ROBOCON 2022
‘Lagori’, one of the most played ancient and traditional games originating in the southern part of India, is the theme of this year’s ROBOCON. The game’s history can be found in Bhagavata Purana, a Hindu religious text that talks about Lord Krishna playing the game with his friends.

A total of 43 teams will be participating in the final round. The matches will begin on July 16 at 9:30 am. It is mandatory for all the team members traveling to Delhi to have a ‘Negative RT-PCR (Covid) test taken not earlier than July 10, 2022’. The event will be addressed by IIT Delhi’s Director, Prof. Rangan Banerjee, and Prasar Bharati CEO, Mayank Kumar Agrawal.
