Pioneers of the development of any country are engineers and inventors. The National Public Radio and Television of Mongolia has been continuously organizing the national championship robot competition “Robocon” every year in order to develop the creativity of students and to train the best national engineers to work in the industry.
In this context, the 22nd edition of the Robocon national championship, organized annually by the Broadcasting Association of the Asia-Pacific region, was held on June 5, 2016. The “SCIT” team from the School of Information and Communication Technology of the University of Science and Technology became the winner of the competition and won the right to represent Mongolia at the “ABU Robocon-2022” international robotics competition in India.
India has organized online the international robot competition “ABU Robocon-2022” of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region yesterday.
In the 20th organized competition, 13 teams of students from 12 countries including Mongolia, China, India, Japan and Indonesia competed with their own robots.
The Mongolian team met the Indian team, the organizer of the competition, and the Indonesian team, the champion of last year, in the D division of the ABU Robocon-2022 international robotics competition.
The “SCIT” team of the School of Information and Communication Technology of SHUTIS, which represented Mongolia, won the “Best idea award” at the “ABU Robocon-2022” international robotics competition.
